Bachmann Class 170 Lighting Improvement
This kit is for early 2/3 car 170 DMUs and replaces the die-cast framed wheat bulbs for brighter White LEDs along with brighter more visible red rear lights.
This kit also has built in 8 Pin DCC Sockets so therefore no need for hard wiring of decoders necessary. The only soldering which is required is for the track pickup to our board and motor wires where applicable. We have designed it with large solder pads so it is easy for any skill level.
In designing this circuit it uses the existing light lenses for easier fitting and lights transmission.

2 Car
For the two car DMUs the standard kit includes circuits for both front and rear ends and will require 2 decoders (one in each carriage)
3 Car (Central motorized car)
With 3 car models we offer this set which includes our AL-18 Compact DCC socket for Wiring in the central motorized car for complete DCC conversion.
DC Analog running
With this kit and running on DC layouts it will require our AL-22 Blanking plates (Click Here) in order for the lights to work as desired.
